He made the admission ahead of his upcoming Eurovision 2023 performance in Liverpool, UK.
Ukrainian singer Tina Karol admitted that she was ashamed of her performance at Eurovision in 2006. The artist spoke about this in an interview with M1.
He recalled how he represented Ukraine in the song Show Me Your Love, saying that he did not like this performance.
Therefore, the star took the news with excitement that he had to perform this song today. The singer rearranged the song to make it more contemporary.
“It was 2006. The beginning of a career … It’s not that I don’t like this performance, but I’m ashamed. It’s embarrassing! It’s my inferiority complex. And when I received the invitation, I realized that, God, I have to sing this song. I immediately asked if I could sing another song? And I thought that I had to create some kind of chip, but I slowed myself down so as not to do more than necessary, “said Karol.
The celebrity admitted if she fits in the dress she performed in the song contest 17 years ago.
“Dress … you don’t have to get into that dress, although I got in, I tried. Immediately, when I received the invitation, I went to try it on,” joked the singer.
It can be recalled that earlier Karol presented a sensual song and a video for it. The star noted that the main meaning of his new work is the expansion of Ukrainian music culture to a global audience.
