A man with the call sign Director died from a wound sustained while conducting a combat mission.
Director and screenwriter Andrei Maksimenko died at the age of 49 from wounds received in the front. His wife Anastasia Basha confirmed his death.
It is known that the soldier, who was a fighter of the volunteer battalion named Dzhokhar Dudayev, received a shrapnel wound on the left side of his face, after which he was hospitalized in the Dnieper, where he was operated on, and later brought to Kiev, where he is in an artificial coma.

Earlier it was reported that the soloist of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Rostyslav Yanchishen was killed in the fighting with the Russian invaders.
