American actor and singer Matthew Lawrence has admitted that he didn’t get a role in the new Marvel film because he refused to strip. Variety reported it.
In particular, the celebrity said that the agents sent the casting actress to the hotel room of the famous director. Arriving at the meeting place, the director, whose name is unknown, opened the door in a bathrobe and asked Matthew Lawrence to undress so that he could be photographed with a polaroid.
After that, the director said that if the actor does some things of a sexual nature, he will get the role of a superhero in Marvel.
In turn, the celebrity left the hotel room, and the next day he was fired from the film agency, because he refused the Oscar-winning director.
In addition, Matthew Lawrence complained about Hollywood’s double standards. He argues that men do not receive the same support as women when it comes to sharing their experience with sexual claims.
“In my opinion, not many men in the industry talk about it. Of course, it’s probably a third of what women go through. Men go through it too … I think our society are less willing to hear what’s going on with men than with women,” he said.
