The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak spoke with a lawyer and co-founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice, wife of Hollywood actor George Clooney – Amal Clooney. The official announced this on Telegram.
“In Ukraine, people know about your support and appreciate it very much. Many heard your speech and everything you said about the war and Ukrainians. It is really very important,” said Yermak.
According to him, according to official data, at least 20,000 Ukrainian children were forcibly brought to Russia by the Russian military from the temporarily occupied territories.
“They were separated from their parents and forcibly transferred to Russian families, while the parents do not know what the fate of their children is. Therefore, it is very important to return the deported Ukrainian children home and punish the Russian criminals,” Yermak added.
Clooney reaffirmed that he supports Ukraine and shares the pain of Ukrainians, whose cause is the Russian invasion.
Clooney also said that the Clooney Foundation for Justice is actively working to hold Russia accountable for violating international law.
