Ostap Stupka will be under night house arrest until June 5, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The court sent under night house arrest the famous actor Ostap Stupka, who was a participant in an accident in Kyiv. This was stated by the press secretary of the Kyiv city prosecutor’s office, Nadezhda Maksimets, in a commentary in Ukrainska Pravda on Thursday, April 6.
“The court granted the petition of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office and chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of night house arrest until June 5, inclusive,” said the representative of the supervisory agency.
In addition, the court ordered the suspect:

do not leave the place of residence;

go to the investigator, prosecutor or court at the first call;

inform the investigator about a change in place of residence, registration, work or means of communication;

do not leave Kyiv without the permission of the investigator.
In turn, Suspilne specified that the night arrest of Ostap Stupka would last from 22:00 to 06:00. And after his release in the courtroom of Shevchenko, the actor apologized for what happened and promised to help the victim as much as he could.
“What happened was, of course, a kind of fate. I don’t know what to call it. For my part, I promise to give all possible help to the victim: about recovery, treatment and his subsequent life. Therefore, , I want to apologize,” Stupka said.
Recall that on April 4, actor Ostap Stupka had an accident in Kyiv’s Goloseevsky district. Being drunk, he drove a Range Rover SUV into a Mitsubishi passenger car, which was parked at the bus stop. The man was taken to the hospital in the car.
The next day, law enforcement officials in Stupka announced a suspicion of violation of traffic safety rules. The actor faces up to three years in prison with a disqualification from driving for three to five years.
