Ukrainian actor Ostap Stupka was informed on suspicion of violating traffic safety rules.
The actor Ostap Stupka was informed about the suspicion of a traffic accident committed while drunk, as a result of which the victim received moderate injuries. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, April 5.
The accident occurred on April 4 in the Goloseevsky district of the capital. According to the investigation, Stupka, driving a Range Rover, moving along Fedorova Street in the direction of the intersection with Malevich Street, drove into the oncoming lane and hit a Mitsubishi parked on the street.
Due to the accident, the man in the car was injured and hospitalized.
Police said the victim was in the hospital with various injuries, and Stupka was taken into custody and will be placed in a temporary detention center.
“The driver of the Range Rover, born in 1967, was detained at the scene. The Drager device showed 1.62 ppm of alcohol in his blood. Now the violator was informed of the suspicion and a petition was handed out to choose a measure of detention,” the report said.
The vehicle driven by the suspect has been seized. The question of arresting the vehicle is being resolved.
The actor faces up to three years in prison with a disqualification from driving for three to five years.
