Many Ukrainian stars who participated in the celebration took a stand against the war and condemned the Kremlin’s bloody actions.
Russia’s television festival Song of the Year is under threat. This was stated by Russian music critic Pavel Rudchenko in an interview with the Russian media.
According to him, the reason is that the Russian Federation considers “undesirable” many artists from Ukraine. As you know, over the past few years, Ukrainian showbiz stars have actively participated in the event. In particular, Sofia Rotaru, Valery Meladze, Vera Brezhneva, Ivan Dorn and others.
However, because these artists took a stand against the war and condemned the Kremlin’s bloody actions, they are no longer sought after in Russia.
“Valery Meladze, Nastya and Potap, Vera Brezhneva, Sofia Rotaru, Ivan Dorn. These are the artists that we know very well, but showed their position against our country, government, people,” said Rudchenko.
According to him, recently the Song of the Year was supported by Ukrainian artists. Therefore, in 2022, after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it is likely that no one will speak at the event.
The host of the festival, Lera Kudryavtseva, also expressed her opinion on the matter.
“I also do not understand whether this celebration will take place this year. Usually the recording of the Song of the Year takes place in December. If, God forbid, the” special operation “(Russia’s war against Ukraine – ed.) ends at this time, there will definitely be a festival otherwise, the holding of the festival is in question, ”Kudryavtseva explained.
Meanwhile, Rudchenko added that instead of hosting the event, singer Sergey Lazarev, Alexander Revva will likely host the show.
Note that the Song of the Year was first performed in the USSR in 1971.
Recall that earlier the Ukrainian theater and film actor Stanislav Boklan read a story about a pig and a dog, which discusses the origin of a Russian soldier.
