The month of April reserves great premieres for the Disney+ audience. In the period dedicated to Easter, the streaming platform highlights children’s films, such as the classic “Peter Pan & Wendy”, a live-action adventure and fantasy based on the character Peter Pan, and the anime series “Tengoku-Daimakyou”, distributed internationally exclusively through the platform.
Throughout the month, the streaming system will also make available productions dedicated to the general public, including the documentary series “Secret of Elephants”, produced by National Geographic and which promises to promote subscribers to a trip around the world without leaving home. Below, check out a little more about these and other productions!
1. Tengoku-Daimakyou (01/04)
Directed by Daiki Mori, same director of “Psycho-Pass: The Movie”, the series of anime tells the story of a group of young people who are raised in a nursery by robots and surrounded by the security of walls. However, even though the surface appears old-fashioned and inhabited by powerful unknown supernatural beings, children are curious and want to know what lies outside.
Thus, Maru, with Kiruko’s help, crosses the bubble and tries to unravel what once was Tokyo through the young people’s inner vision. However, after so much searching, they may discover that what they expected may be nothing more than a dream.
2. Crossover (05/04)

Originally produced by the platform, the series, based on the book of the same name, written by Kwame Alexander, tells the story of brothers Josh (Jalyn Hall) and Jordan Bell (Amir o’Neil), two teenagers considered basketball phenomena. With a focus on the older age of both, the film tackles players’ lives on and off the court, as his father, a former professional player, adjusts to life after years of playing basketball, and his mother finally realizes her own dreams.
3. Secrets of the Elephants (04/22)

Launched especially on “Earth Day”, the documentary series, produced by filmmaker James Cameron, Oscar winner with “Titanic”, and narrated by actress Natalie Portman, introduces the public to the different families of elephants around the world. Unraveling the secrets of one of the most loving and wise animals, the production shows the cultural behavior of each elephant according to its particularities. It also presents how these animals have the impressive ability to adapt to environments. The documentary has four episodes, which will be available on the same day.
4. Peter Pan & Wendy (4/28)

Based on the story created by JM Barrie and inspired by the animated feature “Peter Pan”, the film tells the history of Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) and her younger brothers, heading to Neverland. After opposing the idea of living in a boarding school, the girl travels with the boys to a place far from home, where she meets Peter Pan (Alexandre Molony), a boy who refuses to grow up, as well as a mischievous fairy and an evil pirate. Together, they live an exciting and dangerous adventure as they try to defeat the famous Captain Hook.
