5 Netflix special releases in April

Netflix released some of the main productions that will be released during the month of April. In the period dedicated to Easter, the streaming platform, not coincidentally, highlights a list full of films and series dedicated to the family and children. Despite this, action, adventure and music lovers can also rejoice, as titles like these will also be highlights.

To kick off the program in style, the films “One Direction: This Is Us” will be released, with one of the main boy bands of recent times, and “Meu Amigo Lucha”, which tells the story of an animal and a child trying to save it. There is also the famous deer-boy series, “Sweet Tooth”. In the action category, the film “Power Rangers: Now and Forever”, of the iconic heroes of the 90s, and the documentary “Wanted USA: The Bombing of the Boston Marathon” will be available. 1. One Direction: This Is Us (01/04)

Directed by Morgan Spurlock, same director of documentary “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special”, this film, dedicated to the group of singers Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, tells how one of the biggest boy bands of the 21st century was formed.

After participating in the X-Factor program and being eliminated, the boy group was invited to form the band called One Direction. Despite being disqualified from the competition, they were embraced by the public and became one of the biggest hits around the world. By watching the production, fans can also follow the backstage of the shows and the group’s daily life.

two. My Friend Lutcha (07/04)

Produced exclusively by Netflix, the film starring Demián Bichir, Evan Whitten and Christian Slater chronicles the young man’s story Alex, a 13-year-old boy who flies to Mexico to meet his grandfather, a former wrestling champion, and his two cousins, Memo (Nickolas Verdugo) and Luna (Ashley Ciarra).

On the journey, he encounters a mystical creature, similar to a chupacabra legend, and becomes attached to the animal. However, he discovers that he is being hunted by dangerous scientists. To help him evade the villains, Alex embarks on a grand adventure into the unknown.

3. USA Wanted: Boston Marathon Bombing (4/12)

From the reconstitution of images and exclusive interviewsthe documentary accompanies the moments of tension and fear that terrorized the city of Boston in April 2013. Narrating the fatal tragedy that left three dead and more than 250 injured, the production presents to the public emotional reports, in addition to the mobilization to find and arrest those responsible for placing homemade bombs at the event location.

4. Power Rangers: Now and Forever (4/19)

Considered a classic of the 90s, the film is a tribute to the legion of fans who followed the heroes at the time and brings together, for the first time, the original cast of the series. In the new adventure, the Power Rangers come face to face with a threat from the past and, in the midst of a global crisis, receive a new member to fight once more and save the world. The special celebrates the 30th anniversary of the franchise and is inspired by the famous motto “Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger”.

5. Sweet Tooth (4/27)

A hit that swept audiences in its first season, the critically acclaimed fantasy series is once again full of haunting adventures and mysteries. According to the official synopsis released by Netflix, in this new journey, the production will focus on the period in which children are held prisoner by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and his men, who intend to wipe out the hybrids.

However, the protagonist Gus (Christian Convery) is a determined boy and will ally with scientist Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar) to learn more about his origin. Apparently, in the midst of this process, he can finally discover the origin of the Scourge, a disease that makes people sick and die quickly, and of hybrids.
