An Eternal Pink gem of unparalleled color and brilliance was discovered by a South African diamond company in a mine in Botswana in 2019.

A unique pink diamond, the most valuable and brilliant of its kind, will be auctioned at Sotheby’s in New York. The starting price of the lot is $35 million. The Daily Mail reported this.

Its weight is approximately 10.57 carats.

“Eternal pink (the so-called diamond – red.) must join the ranks of the most valuable diamonds in history,” said Quig Burning, head of Sotheby’s Americas Jewellery.

The diamond is currently located in Hong Kong. It will then be sent to Dubai, Singapore and Geneva, and then to New York.

“This is the most beautiful and pure shade of pink in diamonds I have ever seen and hit the market,” Berning added.
