A well-known performer in February last year, condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Latvian singer Laima Vaikule recalled that on February 24 last year she felt powerless, because she understood that she could not prevent a full-scale Russian invasion. He announced this on the air of the YouTube channel And Graham struck.
The performer also said that he thought that he would never sing in Russian, but he soon realized that the Russian Federation would not take it away from him.
At the same time, the artist emphasized that only one person is guilty of a whole war – Vladimir Putin.
“A terrible injustice. You understand that you can’t do anything, you just want to scream. But it doesn’t help anyone. For me, it’s a terrible, unfair war. I can’t accept it. I don’t understand how it happened that people don’t understand that To everyone who starts talking to me about this topic, I tell them: “Don’t go into the jungle. Who started the war? Putin began. There’s nothing more to say – it’s his fault,” she said.
Laima Vaikule also said that until Russia withdraws its troops from Ukraine and admits its guilt, it will not return to the wrong place.
“I have never been to Crimea. And it is also connected with Russia – until Russia admits that it is wrong, my foot will not be there,” the singer summed up.
Earlier it was reported that Laima Vaikule admitted that she did not see the logic in the justifications of the Russians who started a war against a peaceful country.
