A famous actress is suing a retired optometrist over a ski accident that occurred in 2016.
American actress Gwyneth Paltrow will face trial after this. He was charged with a skiing accident in 2016. The New York Post writes about it.
It was learned that the star filed a lawsuit against pensioner Terry Sanderson. This was back in 2019. Sanderson sought $3.1 million from Paltrow for seriously injuring her while skiing “out of control” and hitting her at a resort in Park City, Utah on February 26, 2016.
As a result, the man suffered a head injury, broken ribs and loss of enjoyment of life, but Paltrow’s lawyers said he was lying.
The Oscar-winning actress filed a counterclaim, alleging that Sanderson bumped into her and fatally stabbed her.
“RS. Paltrow remembers what happened. She was enjoying skiing with her family on vacation in Utah when the plaintiff, coming up from Ms. Paltrow, hit her on the back… She was angry Ms. Paltrow to the plaintiff and said that. The plaintiff apologized,” the document said.
Sanderson said Paltrow caused permanent brain damage.
“In addition to vision problems, he has 15 other chronic illnesses,” his lawyers wrote.
According to them, the plaintiff’s doctors performed brain tests that did not reveal any impairment in his cognitive functions after the accident.
Paltrow is seeking $1 million in damages from Sanderson, plus the cost of her legal fees.
We remind you, earlier Paltrow presented herself in a frank form. The star published a photo in which she appeared in the morning and without makeup.
