“I didn’t expect it to have the impact it did”

In the last days, Karen Bachini had her name in the most commented subjects on the web after doing a review on the WePink foundation, a brand of cosmetic products from Virginia Fonseca.

In the recording Karen shows in detail the positive and negative points of the product, at one point she does a water test, as the brand claims that the foundation is waterproof, but when doing the test, the foundation comes off completely Karen’s face.

After the great repercussion of the video, the influencer spoke about how she dealt with the viralization and comments from Internet users.

“I didn’t think it would resonate so much, because I thought there would be other reviews saying the same thing as me and the same size, because there were very big creators who also did reviews, but they didn’t resonate as much as mine.”, he said.

“I think mine ended up resonating because of a cut, where I had already been using the foundation for more than six hours, I did a friction test and it crumbled on my face.”, commented.

“This cut became very famous, it was seen a lot and many people took it out of context, as if I had just applied foundation, others doubted it, said that I had used micellar water. But that was the result of a lot of tests, tests varied, with different moisturizers underneath, without moisturizer… It was one of the results I got, but it wasn’t the only result. But I didn’t expect to have the repercussions it had.”, explained.

Regarding the repercussion of the video, Karen states that she received a positive response: “As much as there are people who believe in Virginia, who love her work and will buy the base, regardless of my opinion, let them come and say negative things”

“The people who trust my work and see me doing this for years defend me — because they know that I’ve been doing this for over 16 years on the internet, that I’ve always been very annoying and complain about the product and that I’m there to talk on the positive side, but also on the negative.”, continued

“Before buying a product, you want to watch a lot of reviews and also know the negative side of it, so my commitment has always been to show both sides. So much so that in my review I say several nice things about the foundation (by WePink) and, in that cut (which went viral) I was absolutely sure that the base was not going to move, or that very little would come out.”, she finished.
