Miss Ukraine Universe Victoria Apanasenko won the national costume contest at the Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant. The model announced it on Instagram.
“We did it! I won the nomination for the best national costume at @missuniverse and I dedicate this award to every Ukrainian, every Warrior of Light who is now fighting for the future of Ukraine,” said the model.
As you know, Apanasenko’s costume is called Warrior of Light. It symbolizes the struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom.
“The Warrior of Light costume is the symbol of the inner strength of Ukrainians, our courage and love for freedom that runs through our veins. Creating this costume, we want to embody the idea that war cannot destroy our strength and lose the color of our hearts. Even the burning Ukraine will be reborn like a phoenix and shine bright! This costume also symbolizes any woman who fights for her rights, freedom and his future! Each of us is a Warrior of Light!” – added model.
He also emphasized that for the first time in the history of the Miss Universe pageant, a Ukrainian woman won first place in the Best National Costume nomination. By the way, 86 countries fought for victory in the competition.
