The ship was already embroiled in a scandal due to the fact that it could not fight under the 95-year-old Koningshaven bridge.

Billionaire and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ $500 million superyacht is set for its maiden voyage. He will come to the owner in two months, according to the Daily Mail.

The yacht was built over five years. He claims he is the tallest in the world. The length of the ship is 127 meters and the triple mast is 70 meters. The yacht is called Koru. It means “new beginning” in the Maori language.

The ship was built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco. It has been embroiled in a scandal, due to the fact that it could not fight under the 95-year-old Koningshaven bridge. Bezos asked Rotterdam authorities to dismantle the bridge, and then promised to pay for its restoration. But he was rejected. Moreover, the inhabitants of the city threatened to throw eggs at the yacht.

Bezos then adjusted the yacht’s sails to fit under the bridge. Oceanco carefully towed the large yacht to another shipyard, where her masts were added.

It is also mentioned that the Koru superyacht has three large masts, due to which it is set in motion due to the kinetic energy of the sails. This highly advanced and environmentally friendly technology means that the sails can be handled by one person instead of an entire crew.

The Koru is painted black with a white superstructure. The aluminum and steel schooner has three decks – one with a swimming pool.

We remind you, earlier there were photos of the interior of the largest yacht in the world, Somnio.
