The plane made an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport. All victims were hospitalized.
Lightning struck a Lufthansa plane flying from Austin to Frankfurt, carrying Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife. Camila Alves spoke about it on her Instagram page.
According to him, as a result of the incident, the plane suddenly lost altitude and fell into a zone of turbulence. At the same time, many passengers were not wearing seat belts, so they were injured.
“During the flight, our plane crashed at about 4,000 feet, 7 people were seriously injured, and ended up in the hospital. Everyone was flying everywhere. Out of respect for the privacy of those around me, this is all I’m showing, but there is trouble on the plane “I’m talking about the Lufthansa flight you saw on the news today. We were there. Thank God everyone is safe,” she said.
The model also shared a video from the plane. Here you can see the food, drinks and belongings of the passengers scattered around the cabin.
After the emergency landing at the Washington airport, the celebrity couple went to a bar.
“I must say that everything at the Washington airport where we had to redirect and spend the night was very good! Matthew and I got to the bar a minute before closing … We slept well, now we catch a new flight , and continued our journey,” summed up Camila Alves.
