The younger brother of the Hollywood star died on Sunday, February 19 at his home in Nyack, New York.
The cause of death of 28-year-old Jensen Panettiere, the brother of the ex-fiancee of the Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, the American actress Hayden Panettiere, was cardiomegaly. The family gave an official statement to ET in this regard.
“The medical examiner stated that Jensen’s sudden death was caused by cardiomegaly accompanied by aortic valve complications,” they said.
According to The New York Post, a police department report said Jensen’s friend found him unconscious in a chair, then called 911 and gave him CPR. Friends began to worry about Panettiere’s condition after he failed to show up for a business meeting.
The Panettiere family also thanked fans for their support during these difficult times.
“Our family is truly grateful for the love and support as we deal with this unbearable loss, and we ask that our privacy be respected during this time of mourning,” the statement said.
