The famous Canadian actress of Ukrainian origin Katheryn Winnick has become the ambassador of the United24 fundraising platform. This is stated on the website of the Office of the President.
It is noted that he is engaged in the direction of the Restoration of Ukraine and will open his collection through the platform for the restoration of one of the 18 houses in the Kyiv region.
In total, it is necessary to raise UAH 719 million for the restoration of these facilities. Thanks to United24 donors from 110 countries, more than UAH 510 million has been raised.
“I understand how important it is for Ukrainian families to be united. People need to return home, rebuild their homes so that families can live together again,” said the star of the popular TV series Vikings in a video call with Volodymyr Zelensky.
In turn, the head of state thanked Katheryn Vinnik for her support, powerful messages and kind words, which are very important for Ukrainians, adding that the world should not forget about the ongoing war in Ukraine.
“Thank you very much for joining us. We are grateful that you decided to become a United24 Ambassador and you are the first Ambassador from Canada, with which we have a lot in common,” said the President of Ukraine.
