The singer made a post in the hospital during her treatment for bowel cancer
On this Tuesday, the 28th, Black Gil used his social networks to share a moment during his treatment against bowel cancer. In early 2023, the 48-year-old singer said she had adenocarcinoma at the end of her intestine.
“Bath, hair washed, dried, make-up to give it an up and the cure coming in!”, she wrote in the caption of the photo while undergoing chemotherapy.
Due to the treatment, Preta canceled her Carnival 2023 schedule: “I will continue my oncological treatment with a focus on healing, but I am sure that next year we will be together again”.
In a video for her social networks, the singer sent a message to reassure friends and fans: “Hi loves. I owed you the video last week because I was really more knocked out in the second cycle of chemotherapy. But now, I’ve just done the third cycle and I’m feeling much better”
“You can imagine how my head feels being outside of it, without the Bloco da Preta, spreading all its love, all its joy through the streets of Brazil — Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, São Paulo and other cities that we would meet to present”, he said.
“I want to start by thanking all my sponsors for their understanding with this postponement, it was a postponement for reasons of force majeure, but I am sure that when we return it will be even more incredible because I will be a different person, a transformed person, a person better and then we will have the healing carnival soon I hope and I know that God wants it that way”, she finished.
