Film premieres this Thursday (16) and fails in visual, technical and narrative aspects
When the protagonist has his narrative “shrunk” in the movie itself, in order to instigate you to see the next ones, you know something is wrong.
Somewhere in Quantumania, there is a heartfelt film about a father who wasted too much time with his daughter and passed up the chance to see her grow up. But, the feeling about it was buried by things like sexual jokes that are not aimed at an adult or children’s audience – and which I honestly don’t know who they are for.
sloppy scenery
The fun aspect that the first film of the trilogy had to play with the size of things and use the surroundings, it simply disappears to give way to a badly done scenario, in which there is no perspective of size.
decreases and grows
The only thing that detracts is the skill of director Peyton Reed, who comes out of a film mediocre, like “Ant-Man and the Wasp” (2018), for this one that features shameful dialogues that made me slightly sink in my chair.
What grows is the wooden face of marvel studios to spend so much (and underpay the CGI artists – Computer-Generated Imagery, or images generated by computers in Portuguese) in a film so ugly and rushed, that looks more like those “prequel” comics that nobody reads.
villain is the exception
The only one who stands out is Jonathan Majors as Kang, who holds most of the scenes putting on a comic book villain show. Finally, the taste that this film gave me if it is equivalent to the attempt of the three applauses that in the end sought to bring an applause.
