The number of victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on Monday, February 6, has increased to 29,605 people.

Ukrainian singer Jamala expressed her condolences to the families of those who died due to the strong earthquake in Turkey.

In particular, the artist brought flowers to the Turkish embassy in Kyiv to honor the memory of the dead. “My heartfelt condolences to the victims of the earthquake. Every day, looking at the news feed, I am paralyzed by the numbers. You can’t get used to death, even in a country that Russia is destroying every day. You are not ready for death,” he wrote on Instagram.

At the same time, the performer added that Turkey became a refuge for his family when the Russian Federation unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine.

“Turkey has been a refuge for me in the most terrible period of my life. It is the home of my sister, relatives and many people with kind hearts. The unbearable pain is flowing in my blood from the news of how many tens of thousands lost the most important thing – life,” added Jamala.
