The legendary British rock musician Ozzy Osbourne, called the “godfather of heavy metal”, has announced his retirement. The reason is serious health problems. The star wrote it on Instagram.
As you know, since 2020, the artist has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Also, after an accident in which the performer injured his spine, he could hardly move independently.
The celebrity said that leaving the stage was the hardest decision of his life.
“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you probably know, four years ago this month, I had a serious accident that injured my spine.” My only goal in this whole It’s time to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently the groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL) treatment, my body is still weak.” – said the artist.
Osbourne hasn’t been seen on stage since 2019, when he was supposed to have a big European tour.
“Trust me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really pisses me off more than you can imagine. I never thought my tour days would end up like this. Now my team is working on ideas where I can perform without having to move from city to city and country to country,” the star added.
He also thanked his family, teammates, team and fans for their support throughout his career.
