With nearly half a million followers on Instagram, the businesswoman and pairing specialist, Ana Laura Fontana impresses everyone with its very contemporary style. She posts photos of striking looks, from fast-fashion pieces to luxury brand items such as Balmain, Prada, Hermes and others. But the businesswoman reveals that her relationship with fashion has changed meaning in recent years.
“My relationship with fashion was not the best (laughs). I always admired this universe and liked to dress well, but the busy routine was always a great challenge, and I had great difficulty in combining colors, styles and pieces”, confessed the businesswoman who currently has fashion mentorship from Ale Monteiro who has worked with Gaby Spanic, Leticia Sabatella, Karol Conka and other big names.
She continued: “Today my relationship with this universe has improved and I usually say that fashion has become my day-to-day ally. No, I’m the most expert on the subject, but in my everyday life I tend to opt for more versatile pieces, like a pantsuit, unique pieces and I always try to pay attention to the fit. On more special occasions, I count on the help of professionals”.
The businesswoman also recalled her consumerist phase and how she overcame this situation.
“I was already very consumerist and precisely at the stage when I didn’t have such a deep relationship with the universe of fashion. After starting to understand and reframe my view of this industry, I became much more conscious about consumption.”, said.
She, who had a wardrobe with a lot of luxury items, said that her first underlined piece was bought in 2018.
“My first underlined piece was bought in 2018, and it was a bag. I remember that I spent years dating, until I managed to buy it, and it is one of the pieces I use the most”finished.
