Booksellers were forced to open even past midnight to sell copies to fans of the monarchs.
Prince Harry’s scandalous memoir titled extra became the best-selling non-fiction book in British history. The Daily Mail reported this.
It was noted that on the very first day after the release, 400,000 books were sold – both hardcover books and electronic and audio versions.
“To our knowledge, the only books that have sold more than one day are those featuring another Harry, Potter,” said Larry Finlay, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House.
Some shops in the UK even opened at midnight to sell copies to royal fans.
Experts say many want to form their own opinions about the book after the topic became popular in the media.
“I was delighted to hear about Prince Harry’s life from Prince Harry,” admitted the surveyor who bought the book at the station in London, Sarah Nakana.
We remind you, earlier Harry showed a necklace that his brother – Prince William allegedly tore off his neck in a heated fight. She showed off the decoration to The Late Show host Stephen Colbert.
