Lauren Burnett, a heavyweight supporter of the James Madison University soft ball team, has died at age 20, the school announced Tuesday. The team’s double game against Longwood was canceled on Wednesday On a series of weekends V. Delaware.
“We are saddened to hear the story of the loss of one of our athletes,” said Jonathan Alger, president of the school, and Jeff Bourne, director of athletics.
