“My recommendation is get him down,” McCarthy told compatriots in the GOP chamber as he discussed the outcome of the January 10, 2021 attack on the Capitol.
McCarthy, who is campaigning for Speaker of the House if his party wins a majority in November, did not make public comment on the audio recording on Sunday morning.
Warren continued to be convicted of violence by his rival party and denied without evidence from some party members that Trump won the election.
