Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited the Queen for the first time since moving to the US –

Megan Markle and Prince Harry visited Queen Elizabeth quietly at Windsor Castle on Thursday, the first time since they moved to America.

According to their spokesperson, the pair stopped for the Invictus Games heading to the Netherlands. The sporting competition for military wounded and veterans was founded by Prince Harry, who served in the British Army for 10 years.

Witnesses said they noticed the couple around Windsor Castle and said they looked relaxed and happy.

This is the first time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have returned to England together since they moved to California in March 2020, the last time Markle was there.

Harry returned to himself twice – a year ago for the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, and for the unveil of a statue of his mother, Princess Diana, in July.

Last month he lost the Prince Philip Memorial at Westminster Abbey.

Earlier this year, a Sussex spokesman said Prince Harry would not be comfortable bringing his family to the UK if they did not receive police protection. Prince has filed a lawsuit in court disputing the government’s decision not to allow him to personally pay for this protection while visiting the UK.

Markle will be spending a few days with Harry at the Invictus Games in The Hague, where the event will take place from April 16-22. The Games were originally scheduled for 2020 but were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also joined her husband in 2017 at the Invictus Games in Toronto, the couple’s first official meeting together. They also teamed up for the 2018 Sydney Games.

The 95-year-old queen, meanwhile, was diagnosed with COVID in February, which she said was “very tired and tired,” she said during a virtual visit last week to mark the opening of Queen Elizabeth’s ward in London. Royal. .

Megan and Harry’s children, Archie, 2, and Lilibette, 10 months, did not go with their parents.
