When he began his research, the doctor no doubt hoped it would make him famous. But it was not the results of this experiment, conducted in the utmost secrecy for more than twenty years, that finally made him famous. It is the scandal that arose in the conditions in which it was carried out. The story, which caused a stir in the 1980s, was published in 2018 in a documentary by Tim Wardle. Three identical strangerspremiered at the Sundance Film Festival and then aired on several streaming platforms.
