The First Aid Item You Need This Summer –

I was just a few blocks from my girlfriend’s house, ready with half a dozen expensive vegan donuts and two cold buns when I heard this: a very familiar bite on my heel. Upon further investigation I found out that I had none but two super giant mega blisters from the horror movie. They were both down.

On the trip to the pharmacy for Bafta and Reese’s Pieces, the silver and water box caught my attention: Heels with Hydro Seal Blister Patch ($ 3.99). They are waterproof with a padded bandage that is rounded to apply to the heels and contain a special ointment that helps the blisters heal faster.

After reading the instructions, I thoroughly cleaned the blisters and dried them. Then I made bandages behind the heels, without adding antibacterial ointments and other products. I was immediately surprised at the quality of the bandages. They are thick and padded, making them less sensitive to touching both blisters. I took a shower, tried a bandage test and I was still pleasantly surprised: even in a hot shower, the bandages were not removed.

In a day or two, the blisters will no longer hurt. The patches turned white and slightly swollen in the middle as the hydrocolloid gel did its job. Still, I could easily wear sneakers and boots and be able to walk and move without pain. The bandages are actually completely waterproof and last a week without scabbing while bathing and bathing. It also doesn’t do the annoying thing that cheap bandages do when the edges start to peel and the stains stick to them and you’ll have a textured, lined bandage hanging over half of your body.

As written on the box, the bandages themselves fell off after a week. My blisters healed and I had two happy heels, ready for rock ‘n’ roll.

Magic fix-it products always make me feel a little skeptical, but these bandits are the holy grail. They are the perfect addition to any travel bag, hiking pack, bathroom basket, or first aid kit. They are very edible, work fast and allow you to wear shoes comfortably, even with an open bladder.

I only use them for my feet, but some reviewers say these wraps work well for burns and other skin irritation all over the body. Also, they point out that pharmacies can sell these great products, so you may want to buy Amazon stock. I’m going for lace-up sandals season, I already have a few packages on deck.
