The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday that 550 cases of chickenpox had been reported in 30 countries outside Africa since the beginning of May. Almost all cases are infected by sick people, most of them from the male homosexual community.
The disease mainly spread to Norway and Hungary this week. The number of patients is still growing in the Old Continent, particularly in the United Kingdom (190 cases), Spain (156), Portugal (138) and France (33).
