The Mediterranean Infectious Diseases University Hospital (IHU), run by the controversial Didier Raul, has just received a serious appeal. The Marseille Institute, whose main mission is to develop research to meet the medical needs of infectious diseases, is targeted by the National Agency for Drug Safety (ANSM) for rare administrative and health policy measures. The problem is that the clinical trial, which has been conducted since 2017, does not meet certain legal requirements, but also, more broadly, repeated violations of clinical research regulations for years.
The targeted ANSM sanctions study has nothing to do with the IHU’s work on Covid, which made Didier Raul known at the beginning of the epidemic (since then, science has largely invalidated scientific findings, in particular: the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine Sars -CoV-2)
