Scout Willis released an emotional message on Thursday after his family announced that his father, Bruce Willis, had “separated” from the actor after he was diagnosed with aphasia.
“The subtle explosion of love I’m experiencing right now makes me angry,” Scout said in a story posted on Instagram Wednesday. “Thank you all for showing so much tenderness and extraordinary love to my father and my entire family”.
Scout posted a photo of his father wearing a yellow scarf and yellow glasses, along with his message. Willis has three daughters – Scout, Gossip and Talula – along with his ex -wife, Demi Moore. Willis also has two children, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn, along with his current wife, Emma Heming.
Aphasia is a condition that affects the ability to speak and understand written or spoken language respectively Mayo Clinic. It usually occurs after a stroke or head injury, although in some cases the condition is caused by brain tumors or other degenerative brain conditions.
Willis ’family posted a coordinated message on social media on Wednesday, revealing the“ Die Hard ”actor’s condition and stopping acting.
“Bruce’s extraordinary supporters as a family would like to share with us that our beloved Bruce has health problems and has been diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his mental abilities,” said Willis family in a statement. “Because of this, and with great consideration, Bruce is moving away from a career that is important to him.”
“We are moving this way as a strong family unit and we want to include his fans because we know how important he is to you and yours,” the statement read. “As Bruce always says, ‘Live’ and we plan to do it together.”
Willis spoke with some of the former constellation and crew of the Los Angeles Times for an article published Thursday describing the actor’s declining condition in recent years.
