Fox News presenter Peter Hegset responded Sunday to a hate group that allegedly planned a riot at a gay pride parade by insulting Black Lives Matter protesters.
A report from Fox & Friends Weekend says 31 members of the White Supremacist Patriots Front gathered in U-Haul to carry out a conspiracy. They were arrested near a Pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
“Police say they learned about the U-Haul from a writer who reported that the men were loaded into a truck in the hotel parking lot,” Fox News presenter Ashley Strohmier said.
Hegset then raised objections to Black Lives Matter, which was completely independent.
“I just want to know how many riots in the BLM were prevented when we entered before they rioted and burned the cities,” Hegset replied.
“Very interesting,” replied host Rachel Campos-Dafy.
“You are never in front of this curve,” Hegset followed.
A study of thousands of Black Lives Matters who protested after the police murder of George Floyd found that most were not violent. The researchers found that a small percentage who became violent included violent interference from law enforcement or extremist groups.
