Kevin McCarthy Cited ‘Everybody In The Country’ For Jan. 6 Attack –

According to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California), former President Donald Trump was responsible for the attack on the U.S. Capitol, just like any other country.

On Thursday, Jan. 6, 2021, McCarthy was asked Thursday at a press conference by a select committee of the Rebellion Investigation Chamber if he still believes Trump was responsible for the attack.

“Here, I have answered you many times. I thought of every country [bore] “Some responsibilities, depending on what’s going on,” McCarthy said, echoing his remarks in the past. “Uprising in the streets, etc.”

In the weeks following the Capitol uprising, the Republican leader publicly and personally asserted that Trump was responsible. “The president was responsible for Wednesday’s attack on a large number of gardeners in Congress,” McCarthy said. Said on the floor of the house on Jan. 13, 2021. “He should have condemned the crowd the moment he saw what was happening.”

On a personal level, his assessment is more intense. In an audio recording leaked on Jan. 11, 2021, McCarthy said that “Trump is holding himself accountable for his words and actions.” Not if, ee but but. In another post, he said what Trump did on January 6 was “unacceptable” and “no one can defend him and no one should defend him”.

But within a few weeks he decided to do just that. On Jan. 21, McCarthy said Trump had never led a mob besieging the Capitol and offered to repeat the comment this week for the first time.

“I also think everyone in this country has responsibilities,” he said in an interview at the time.

His comment on “Street Riot” on Thursday was a clear reference to the 2020 protests against racial injustice and police violence against people of color after repeated police killings of black Americans .

Many Republicans Compared or Combined That turmoil turned violent on Jan. 6, when a group of Trump supporters, fueled by his lies about the 2020 election, attacked law enforcement and stormed the Congress to stop testing the results and keep Trump in power.
