Caregivers’ health status remains in the hemisphere

Cobblers are always the worst shoes This adage also appears to apply to caregivers whose health and morale are less good than their fellow citizens, according to an Odoxa survey of National Mutual Hospitalists (MNH) and THE: Figaro (1). Indeed, 63% of them say they are satisfied with their work, and overall their morale is improving for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic. But this satisfaction remains much lower than that of the general population (16 points less). More than a third of them even clearly say they are “dissatisfied”, almost twice as many as other French workers.

If we look in detail, the work-life balance of caregivers, who are often subject to severe time constraints (night and weekend work, long days), remains far from the level of other active workers. 62% of healthcare professionals are satisfied compared to up to 78…
