New research explains why ‘mosquito skins’

This is not a revelation. we are not all equal before mosquitoes. Each summer, some attract mosquitoes like magnets, while others spend quiet nights, or nearly so. Most interesting in countries like France, this phenomenon is actually a major public health problem in other latitudes, where mosquitoes transmit serious diseases that kill hundreds of thousands of people every year.
