The Philadelphia Inquirer announced Friday that it will not support any Republican Candidate for the Pennsylvania Senate or the Governor’s Primacy.
The newspaper’s editors said they had “no pleasure” in the move, calling it a “sad situation” instead.
“When abortion rights are at stake and candidates on the right disagree on who will win the 2020 election, the Inquirer’s editorial board chose not to support Republicans in the Senate or the governor,” he said. .
The board has historically found “points of agreement” with Republican candidates that don’t necessarily support the wholesaler, he wrote.
But most GOP wannabes are reluctant to agree with Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 election, and their decision to remove the right to abortion has brought them newspaper support.
The Inquirer “wanted to help educate Inquirer readers with Republican Primary approval this year – but we couldn’t,” the council concluded. “However, we will not stop participating in free debates and debates until the truth prevails.”
