Born in 2012 out of the “dove doctors” movement, the UFML supports, with others (but not the profession’s majority unions, the Confederation of French Medical Unions and MG France), a strike movement that began in early December. “Doctors for Tomorrow”, a very young collective born on Facebook in September, has more than 16,000 participants.
Their main demand. a basic consultation with a general practitioner is set at €50 instead of €25. “Physicians work an average of 55 hours per week, and more than 20% of the work time is outside consulting, administrative, practice management.”condemns the collective demanding a “A real shocker (…) to promote confirmed installation”.
