The Spanish royal family unveiled their traditional greeting card on Monday, December 12. This year, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia highlighted the heir to the throne and her little sister against a background of orange leaves.
Every European royal family has their own greeting card at the end of the year. After Charles III on Sunday, it was the Spanish monarchy’s turn to present its wishes on December 12. Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia chose their two daughters, 17-year-old Leonor and 15-year-old Sofia, this year. Recently, during their first solo concert this summer, the teenage girls took center stage and showed that they are ready to take on the responsibilities.
Sober and smile
In the photo with an autumnal atmosphere, the Spanish Infanta is placed behind her older sister and tenderly hugs her. The princess of Asturias holds both hands of her younger sister. Both are dressed simply, a sailor for Sofia and a white sweater for Leonor. Inside the card appear the four signatures of members of the Spanish Crown, in addition to the handwritten note;

Meanwhile, former King Juan Carlos (who abdicated in 2014) and former Queen Sofia, despite being separated, continue to send joint greeting cards every year. For these 2022 celebrations, they chose a Christmas scene initialed with their two signatures.
