Ryan Reynolds couldn’t contain his reaction to Shania Twain’s funny exchange.
At the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday, the country-pop singer took the stage to perform some of her hits before accepting the Music Icon Award.
During her performance of the classic “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” Twain surprised the audience with a whimsical twist when she changed Reynolds’ name to her famous Brad Pitt line.
“OK, so you’re Ryan Reynolds,” Twain sang before continuing. “That doesn’t impress me much. So you have the look, but do you have the touch? he added as the camera focused on Reynolds.
The “Spirited” actor – who received the People’s Icon Award that night – seemed quite happy with the change of lyrics. Grinning in surprise, he seemed to say, “Oh my God, me?” before bursting into laughter.
Fans quickly flooded Twitter with their reactions to the playful viral moment.
“Shania Twain replacing the Brad Pitt line with Ryan Reynolds is exactly what the world needed,” one user he wrote.

After the event, the Canadian actor said the moment “might be the best thing that ever happened to me,” in an Instagram story, IT IS! News reported.
Twain seemed to enjoy mocking Reynolds as she did he posted on Twitter“Sorry, not sorry @VancityReynolds,” as she shared a clip of her now-viral performance the next day.
Meanwhile, Reynolds continued Chirp: “I can’t think of a more iconic, smart and beautiful person who doesn’t impress so much.”
“Thank you for an amazing night @ShaniaTwain,” she added alongside a heart emoji.
Twain’s sixth studio album, Queen of Me, will debut on February 3, 2023.
Twain, the best-selling female artist in country music history, he posted on Twitter in October about the meaning behind his upcoming album. “I want to send a clear message, especially as a woman, to always remember my power,” she said as she announced a 2023 tour.
