Lina Khoudri: It is a dream come true. i’m a big fan. When he told me about the tragic fate of the unknown Malik Ousekine, I immediately thought that his story should be told. What happened in 1986 resonates very strongly with what can happen today, with racism still killing innocent people. Thirty years later, we are still fighting for the protection of our rights and the establishment of justice.
What do I share with my character?
Like Malik’s sister, whom I play, I also have a little brother with whom I am very close. as a result, I projected myself a lot into this role. My character and I obviously don’t live the same day-to-day lives, but like me, he’s at the dawn of his adult life, in full swing. He also goes through an ordeal we all fear: the tragic loss of a loved one. I could only sympathize.
