The countdown for the BTS members to begin their mandatory military service in South Korea is getting closer and closer to the end. With that in mind, in a chat on the first episode of the new Sucks‘Suchwita’, the idol teamed up with his groupmate, MRIto comment on plans after the return of the army.
It is worth remembering that the military enlistment of BTS members was confirmed in October of this year, and the first of them to fulfill the mandatory army period will be Jinwho, according to South Korean media, will report to the training center on December 13th.
Soon after, the other members will have to enlist according to their personal schedules, and it is expected that the idols will return to promotional actions with the complete group only in the year 2025. However, the return of the BTS still seems to be foggy, since in the video, MRI revealed that he still doesn’t know what to expect, but he left himself available to write some new songs for the group:
I don’t know what will happen in 2025, but if I go back to work sooner, I was thinking that maybe… I could prepare some songs before the other members come to BTS or me.
Still, the idol made it clear that he can’t confirm whether this will actually happen, which led to Sucks to reflect on how thinking about the future can lead to cycles of anxiety among group members:
I think that’s why it’s hard for us to talk about what we’re going to do in 2025. We’ve always been like that. The moment we say, “This is not going to happen at all,” we start to worry.
Therefore, MRI brought a positivist look at the subject, saying that “No matter what happens, in 2025, if we all get together and promote as a complete group, it would be great… seriously. I think it’s ideal.”
It is worth remembering that on April 29, 2025, the album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1’, completes ten years since its release. Therefore, MRI points out that the date could mark a more than special comeback for the group:
We talked about how 2025 would be the year most of our members complete their service, and it’s also the monumental year that ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1’ turns ten years old, so we’ll probably be able to do something. I think we’re going to try to keep that promise.
In addition to MRI🇧🇷 Sucks and JinBTS has J-Hope, Jimin🇧🇷 jungkook and V in their training. The group that debuted in 2013 made their last comeback in June this year with “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)”. Check out the clip!
