The Sussexes staged a (fake) table tennis match in the Invictus Games trailer, which aired this Wednesday, November 30.
They fought upstairs. It is proof of this Invictus Games 2023 trailer, the competition for war veterans, wounded soldiers and people with disabilities initiated by Prince Harry, the next edition of which will take place in Dusseldorf. In a black-and-white sequence designed to help sell tickets for the Games’ opening and closing ceremonies, we see Prince Harry in the face of several athletes during a table tennis match.
Encouraging smiles and mischievous looks
But also the Duchess of Sussex, who makes a surprise appearance at the end of the clip, was filmed in the middle of an empty stadium. The former actress and her husband are filmed starting a game of ping pong while challenging each other like their backhand. The 40-year-old woman hits her racket and nods, telling her husband to send her the ball. All between encouraging smiles and evil looks. Images also show Archie and Lilibeth’s father accepting defeat with the face of a top-level athlete, putting on an impressive expression in response to his masterstroke. Game, define… and smash.
