Not many people spend a lot of time reviewing the 1997 film “Air Bud”.
But that’s exactly what John Oliver had in mind this week.
“Don’t worry.” I won’t destroy your 1997 Air Bud, “he promised at the beginning of the segment. before 9/11. ”
His HBO show, “Last Week Tonight,” was on hiatus, but Oliver just posted a web clip on YouTube showing issues with the film.
“I know what you’re thinking. You think, “He needs to be paid extra to make these web franchises,” Oliver says. “I don’t… I’m not talking‘ Air Bud ’because I need to. I do it because I want to. ”
“Air Bud” has produced a franchise with more than a dozen movies, including live sequels like “Air Bud: World Pup”, as well as spin-offs like “Santa Buddies”, “Spooky Buddies” “and” Treasure Buddies. ”
