Learn more about the trajectory of one of the protagonists of the new Netflix series
“Hertstopper”, Netflix’s new romantic series inspired by the graphic novel of the same name written by Alice Osemanpremiered last Friday, 22, and has already become one of the biggest hits among the audience of the streaming platform, reaching the Top 10 in more than 50 countries.
The production follows the beginning of the relationship between Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), an openly gay young man, and Nick Nelson, a boy who is still discovering his sexuality and is played by the well-known actor Connor Kitwho has been highly praised for his work on “Heartstopper”.

Before being cast as the lead in “Heartstopper”, Connor He has already performed several works on television and in cinema. His acting debut came in 2013, when he was just eight years old, with a supporting role in the series “Chickens”.
Since then, he has worked on several other shows, such as “Casualty”, “Rocket’s Island”, “The Frankenstein Chronicles”, “War & Peace”, “Grantchester”, “SS-GB”, “Grandpa’s Great Escape” and “His Dark Materials”.
In cinema, his debut took place in 2014 with the film “What the End Took Santa Claus”, where he took on the role of Tom, a nine-year-old boy in love with Christmas who ends up discovering a new resident in his garage: Santa Claus, who had broken his sled. Willing to help the good old man, the boy then decides to ask his father for help to take him back home, but everything starts to go wrong when they are chased by the police.
His most important role on the big screen was in the feature “Rocketman”, released in 2019, where he had the challenge of playing the singer Elton John during your childhood. Other of his well-known works in cinema are in the films “Mr. Sherlock Holmes” (2015), “Only the Sea Knows” (2017) and “Player #1” (2018).
Even with so many years of experience, the character Nick Nelson will be the first protagonist in the career of kit. During an interview with Attitute magazine, the actor revealed that, during filming, he needed to share his time with school, but that he doesn’t regret anything and is very proud of the project.
“We worked long hours, you know? 12 hours a day. So that meant I had to dedicate myself to trying to keep the momentum going. I don’t regret it, to be honest, because I think making Heartstopper was one of the most fulfilling jobs I’ve ever done,” said Connor.
