Meet the real people behind some characters present in the animation ‘Anastasia’
This Monday, the 21st, “Anastasia” completes 25 years of debut. The animation, which was considered one of the best outside the disney already released, tells the story of Princess Anastasia, from Russia, who flees with her grandmother from the imperial palace that was being attacked, where she ends up hitting her head and losing her memory while trying to escape.
The plot was inspired by the real events of the last Russian imperial family, the Romanov, and has the participation of several characters that existed in real life. Check out what they are!
1. Tsar Nicholas II
During the song “Once Upon a December” (“It was in the month of December”, in Portuguese), we can see Anya dancing with a man wearing military clothes in white and red, accompanied by a blue belt. Despite not having his name revealed in the animation, the character represents the Tsar Nicholas IIfather of Anastasiaand who died after the invasion of Russian revolutionaries.
2. Tsarina Alexandra and Prince Alexei

Also during “Once Upon a December”, when the ghosts begin to appear in the giant abandoned hall, we can see three figures coming out of a large painting on the stairs. they are the tsar Nicholas IIalongside his wife, the Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovnaand his youngest son, Prince Alexei🇧🇷
3. Princesses Tatiana, Olga and Maria

“Once Upon a December” is the scene responsible for introducing the sisters of Anastasiathe princesses Tatiana🇧🇷 olga and Maria🇧🇷 They can be seen dancing alongside Anya before the gorgeous transformation of her plain dress into a luxurious ball gown.
4. Rasputin

It may seem like a lie, but the fearsome animation villain, Rasputin, also existed in real life. Your real name is Grigori Yefimovich Rasputinand he was a mythical Russian who proclaimed himself a saint, and approached the Russian imperial family claiming he could heal the prince Alexei of a disease called hemophilia, where he ended up becoming an adviser to the Tsarina Alexandra🇧🇷
5. Anastasia

The entire plot of the animation released in 1997 was inspired by rumors involving the disappearance of the princess’s body. Anastasia after the death of her family in 1918, where many claimed that the Grand Duchess was still alive. At the time, thousands of women began to invent that they were the Tsar’s daughter. Nicholas II to try to inherit something of the family heritage. None of the fakers’ attempts worked, and in 2008, the princess’ bones were finally found and identified.
