Filmmaker’s Twitter post may suggest new plans for the DC hero; understand!
Last Tuesday, the 15th,James Gunn published on his official Twitter account an illustration of Mister Incredible. Despite not containing any caption in the post that confirms the intention of the publication, there are speculations that the filmmaker and commander of DC’s audiovisual division intends to use the character in one of his new projects.
The design, which was created in 2005 by Alex Ross for the cover of issue 76 of ‘Justice Society of America‘, in Geoff Johns, introduces Michael Holt, the second holder of the title of Mr Awesome. See the image below!
Due to his history of bringing forgotten or not so popular characters to the screens — as is the case of ‘Peacemaker’, a series that arrived this year in the HBO Max catalog —, fans of the character have already become aware of the possible presence of Mr. Incredible in a new production.
Furthermore, Gunn runs DC’s film and series division alongside Peter Safran since October of this year, where he is planning productions for the next ten years, and is part of several secret projects of the publisher, which, added to the publication and his previous works, may indicate that there will be something involving the character in the future.
Mister Incredible (also known as Mister Terrific) is the name of the hero who appeared on the pages in the golden age of comics, more precisely, in the 40s. The character, who was the alter ego of Terry Sloane and Michael Holt, was a member of the JSA and possesses athletic and martial skills.
In addition to Sloane and Holt, the hero gained a new holder of the mantle in Arrow, the CW series that introduced the Arrowverse. In the production that presented the first live-action version of the hero, he was introduced by Curtis Holt, a figure played by Echo Kellum🇧🇷
