Police confirmed that rapper Rakim Myers, better known by his stage name A $ AP Rocky, was arrested Wednesday morning at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with the November shooting.
Myers, 33, was arrested after boarding a private jet from Barbados with his girlfriend, singer and businesswoman Rihanna. TMZ And NBC News Reported For The First Time. According to police, he was accused of assaulting her with a deadly weapon.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Wednesday it has begun an investigation into Mayers after a murdered rapper approached a street in the Hollywood district on Nov. 6 and charged him. Caused minor injuries and provided medical assistance to the victim.
“Detectives have worked diligently to investigate and verify information that helped identify the suspects involved,” the department said Wednesday. “The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Los Angeles resident Rakim Myers also known as the A $ AP Rocky musician.”

“The case will be referred to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office,” the LAPD said in a statement.
Rihanna is pregnant with the couple’s first child. He announced last month that he is currently in the third quarter.
Mayer’s attorney did not immediately return HuffPost’s request for comment.
