More than a year and a half after the collaboration between the two brands began, the manufacture is celebrating this anniversary with not one, but two well-shaped limited editions.
Flashback to February 2021, and Tag Heuer stepped into the concerted spotlight of LVMH Watch Week to announce a very personal highlight: its partnership with Porsche. A perfect match between the German manufacturer and the Swiss made, which made perfect sense given the many crossovers operated by both houses over time, but which have never been set in stone before.
Following the first collection of Porsche-specific red, black and gray hues, Tag Heuer pays homage this season to another of the brand’s iconic racing cars with a doubly evocative name: the Porsche 911 Carrera.
Double deal
And more precisely the RS 2.7, which attracted all eyes from its presentation at the 1972 Paris Motor Show. A speed calibrated with small precision to swallow the asphalt of rallies, which became legendary in its white and blue version, but which was also available in many colors. Including one in fatal red, which also attracted the attention of Tag Heuer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this cult model.
The latter, engraved in solar red gold, will be produced in just 250 pieces, while the two-tone version (available on fabric or steel band) will be available in 500 collector pieces.
