On September 16, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included Maxim Galkin in the list of individuals performing the role of a “foreign agent”. It says that the artist is politically active and receives help from a foreign source – Ukraine.

Galkin, in response, said that he was recognized as a “foreign agent” for a distant reason, because he was not involved in political activities and did not receive money from Ukraine. “I don’t sell my opinion and my thoughts and I don’t buy others. I don’t trade conscience,” said Galkin.

After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Galkin left Russia and repeatedly spoke out against the war and the Kremlin’s policies. In particular, the artist strongly condemned the actions of the Russian military in Bucha and the shelling of cities.

“Russia is to blame for so many terrible things, and at the same time it says it is not to blame. The atrocities in Bucha are not us. The Malaysian Boeing is not us. Mariupol was razed to the ground – it’s not us . but not quite us. Not all of us. And what are we doing there? “- he said.

Galkin continued to give concerts abroad, part of the funds of which he sent to help Ukrainian refugees. In Russia, in his own words, all his performances were canceled and advertising contracts ended after he published his first anti-war post while still in the country.

In early September, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Galkin had made “very bad statements” and that “he is clearly not on the same path as us.”

Pugacheva herself recently returned to Russia. According to him, to “put things in order in my head, in your head.”

Remember that in the Russian Federation they want to confiscate Pugacheva’s castle and give it to “Ukrainian refugees”.
